FORT MYERS, Fla. (October 6, 2022) All three of the Cypress family of companies have been recognized in the 2022 McKnights Tech Awards, each in a different division and category.
“We are so thankful for the vision, guidance and continued support from our Board of Directors and for the amazing work our team is doing to change the way care is provided to adults in Southwest Florida,” said CEO/President of Cypress Living Troy Churchill.
Cypress at Home received a gold award in the Home Care division Quality category for implementation of a revolutionary new remote patient monitoring (RPM) technology from Keenly Health that uses innovative, ultra-wideband radar technology. The medical care team tracks vital signs, sleep information and motion-based activity through contactless sensors in clients diagnosed with chronic or acute respiratory impairment. Patients navigating chronic illnesses such as COPD, CHF, sleep apnea and COVID-19 have benefited considerably.
Cypress Living received a bronze award in the Skilled Nursing division Innovator of the Year category for a successful project they implemented at Cypress Cove life plan community. Cypress Living’s data scientist worked closely with Cypress Cove’s clinical team to replace a paper-driven reporting process with a digital portal that is device agnostic and HIPAA secure. The new real-time process saves a tremendous amount of time, allows for timely interventions, and gives providers back time in their day to focus on residents.
Cypress Cove received a bronze award in the Senior Living division Building Bridges category for their new communications platform that integrates with smart home technology. K4Community connects hundreds of residents to each other, the community, supporting staff and most importantly, their families and loved ones outside of the community. The K4Community system provides residents with more ways to communicate, greater socialization and a dependable 24/7 accessible resource for information on events, dining and services.

The awards program is a joint production of McKnight’s Long-Term Care News, McKnight’s Senior Living and McKnight’s Home Care. The long-running annual program honors providers that convey how technology has improved care and operations in their organizations. The competition includes three divisions: Skilled Nursing, Senior Living/Assisted Living and Home Care. Each division recognizes a variety of innovative programs with awards in four different categories.
